How to Export from Yardi, MRI, AppFolio & RealPage
Getting the right file out of your property management system is the first hurdle in any CAM reconciliation. This guide covers Rent Roll, GL, and CAM billed exports for the four major systems — step by step.
Rent Roll Export
CAMAudit uses the rent roll to build your tenant roster, set square footage allocations, and calculate pro-rata shares. You need columns for unit, tenant name, square footage, market rent, monthly rent, and lease start/end dates.
- 1In Yardi Voyager, go to Leasing → Reports → Rent Roll with Lease Charges.
- 2Set the report month using the "As of" date field.
- 3Click Submit to generate the report.
- 4Use the Export to Excel icon (spreadsheet icon in the toolbar).
- 5In Excel, choose File → Save As and select CSV (Comma delimited).
Required columns: Unit, Tenant Name, SF, Market Rent, Monthly Rent, Lease Start, Lease End
GL Export
The General Ledger export tells CAMAudit which expenses are in your CAM pool for the reconciliation year. You need a full-year export (Jan 1–Dec 31) with account code, description, date, and amount columns.
- 1In Yardi Voyager, go to Accounting → General Ledger Analytics.
- 2Select your property and set the date range to Jan 1–Dec 31 of the reconciliation year.
- 3Click Submit.
- 4Use the spreadsheet icon to export to Excel.
- 5In Excel, choose File → Save As → CSV (Comma Delimited).
Required columns: Account Code, Description, Date, Debit, Credit
CAM Billed Export
The CAM billed report shows what you actually charged tenants in prior years. CAMAudit compares this against what you should have charged to surface leakage. You need tenant name, suite, and total CAM billed columns.
- 1In Yardi Voyager, go to Commercial → CAM Reconciliation.
- 2Open the prior-year reconciliation for your property.
- 3Export to Excel using the spreadsheet icon.
- 4In Excel, save as CSV (File → Save As → CSV Comma Delimited).
Required columns: Tenant, Suite, Total CAM Billed
