Scale forensic CAM evidence review

Route CAM files by math, classification, missing proof, and judgment.

By Angel Campa, FounderUpdated July 15, 2026

I work as a principal engineer. I built the engine behind these audits. Each finding points to the lease clause and the bill line. Your team reviews and signs first.

Scale CAM review with four lanes

Use four clear lanes for CAM review. Do not send every item to one senior queue. Route each item by proof and judgment needs.

The IIA standards group key audit rules. Use them for quality limits, not CAM answers. See the IIA standards.

Build four review lanes

Lane Entry proof Owner Escalation Exit record
Deterministic math Complete inputs Analyst Inputs conflict Reproducible workpaper
Classification Source text Reviewer Meaning stays unclear Approved class note
Missing backup Gap log Coordinator Deadline is near Source or written gap
Material judgment Complete packet Senior expert Scope changes Signed conclusion

The IIA data guide supports audit tools. People must still check the work.

Add routing fields

Every item needs these fields.

  • Matter and source ID
  • Lease version and location
  • Statement line and period
  • Lane and named owner
  • Materiality input
  • Confidence reason
  • Escalation trigger
  • Exit record

The IIA skills guide can help assign duties. It lists skills by role. See the skills guide.

Model one queue

This example uses stated assumptions. It is not a benchmark.

Assume 20 files enter intake. Assume 10 have complete math inputs. Five need wording review. Three lack backup. Two need senior judgment.

Lane Files First owner
Deterministic math 10 Analyst
Classification 5 Reviewer
Missing backup 3 Coordinator
Material judgment 2 Senior expert

Do not infer time savings from this mix. Measure actual work time. Replace the assumptions after your first cycle.

Check lane capacity

Every time below is a made-up input. It is not a benchmark.

Lane Files Minutes each Total minutes
Fixed-rule math 10 15 150
Wording review 5 30 150
Missing backup 3 10 30
Senior judgment 2 45 90

This made-up queue needs 420 minutes. Assume the team has 480 minutes. The sheet then shows 60 open minutes.

Replace each input with firm data. If need exceeds time, hold intake. You may also add an approved reviewer.

Set quarantine rules

Stop or quarantine the file when any rule applies.

  • The source identity is unclear.
  • Amendment completeness is unknown.
  • Custody cannot be shown.
  • Privilege needs counsel review.
  • The reviewer cannot repeat the math.
  • The decision weight lacks an approved input.

Axon splits proof intake, storage, review, return, and sharing. That split can improve queue design. Its proof guide covers police work, not CAM benchmarks.

Where CAMAudit fits

Send fixed-rule math to the first lane. The same inputs should give the same answer.

Forensic audit firms keep source links by each flagged item.

CAMAudit builds the branded CAM audit. Your firm uses a review-and-sign step.

Review the dispute letter draft first. It is not legal advice. Have counsel review before sending.

Build the full practice

Place this queue inside the firm's offer. Use the service launch guide.

Keep each review lane firm-led. Use the CPA firm page.
